"That They May All Be One"

FORUM
Community Forums originated from a desire to “Gain a Wider World View” (our theme) and are focused on gaining insight in and understanding of spirituality and social justice. In this context we organized forums with speakers who were natives of, or had lived in Palestine, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Afghanistan.

Additional programs included:

  • Sufis
  • Hindu Religion
  • Deepak Chopra: “Ageless Body, Timeless Mind”
  • Karen Armstrong: “A History of God”
  • Bishop John Shelby Spong: “Why Christianity Must Change or Die”
  • Sylvia Boorstein: “It’s Easier than you Think”
  • Huston Smith: “The World’s Religions”
  • Thomas Lynch: “Bodies in Motion and at Rest”
  • Matthew Fox
  • Kathleen Norris: “Amazing Grace” “Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh”
  • Robert Scheer: "Playing President"
  • Ray Suarez: "The Holy Vote - The Politics of Faith in America"

Where appropriate, authors were invited to discuss a recently published book. Please let us know if you want your name to be added to our mailing list so that we can inform you of our forthcoming events.
