1000 Congregations Campaign

What is the 1000 Congregations Campaign?
The 1000 Congregations Campaign enables congregations of all faiths to engage in dialogue, discernment, education and prayer on the death penalty.

The 1000 Congregations Campaign is a coalition project of California People of Faith Working Against the Death Penalty, Progressive Jewish Alliance, and Death Penalty Focus.

What does it mean when a congregation signs-up?
Participating congregations agree to engage in dialogue, discernment, education and prayer on the death penalty. Signing-up does not signify that a congregation has taken a position on the death penalty. A congregation is not committed to engaging in specific activities, but rather encouraged to tailor activities and materials to meet the needs of that congregation.
